Coby Adam Maturin

Lafayette ~ Funeral Services will be held for Coby Adam Maturin, 21, on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00PM at Our Saviors Church with Pastor Jacob Aranza officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning at 11:00AM until 9:00PM and will resume on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau at a later date.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Lafayette Coby passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 8:38AM in Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. He was a 2006 graduate of Comeaux High School; a proud and loving father to his daughter, Jade Elizabeth; enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, friends and his dog Sable. Coby was grateful for the additional two and a half years of life he received through a lung transplant.

He is survived by his daughter, Jade Elizabeth Maturin of Lafayette; his fiance, Lauren Courville of Lafayette; his parents, Billy A. Maturin and Sherry Sherwood Maturin of Lafayette; his sister, Casey Maturin Morvant of New Iberia; half-sister Brandy of New Iberia; maternal grandparents, Irvin Sherwood and Joyce Sherwood of New Iberia; nieces, Caitlin Duhon, Mia Morvant and Chloe Belle Morvant all of New Iberia.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Wilson Maturin and Alizia Romero Maturin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trea' Viator, Justin Neisser, Brent Sherwood, Pat Howard, Brian Russo and Mark Courville. Honorary pallbearers will be his godfathers, Oris Viator and David Sanders.
