Lafayette " Funeral Services for Willie James Daigle, 36, will be held at the David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00AM with Rev. Ron Love officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning at 2:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

Mr. Daigle a native of New Iberia and a resident of Youngsville died on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 7:00PM in Louisa. Willie was an avid fisherman, hunter, cooker, LSU and Saints fan, and an all around sportsman. He was known for his love of entertaining people, being very outgoing and positive person who was a role model to his brothers and sisters. Willie never met a stranger and was the worlds greatest dad. He was the "epitome of cool".

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Williams Daigle and their son, Alexander Leo Henry Daigle of Youngsville; his parents, Debbie Sundberg Daigle and Robert S. Daigle, Sr. of New Iberia; his birth father, Wilfred J. Chauvin of Franklin; four brothers, Jason Daigle of Hastings, NE, Dustin Daigle of New Iberia, Bobby and his wife Dayna Daigle of New Iberia, and Stevie Daigle of Laurel, MS; four sisters, Dawn Daigle of New Iberia, Brandi and her husband Jonas Golden of Lafayette, Jennifer Daigle of New Iberia, and Sarah Daigle of New Iberia; his nannie, Becky and her husband Adam Hoffpauir of New Iberia; mother and father in law, Daniel and Jenny Williams of Green River, WY; a sister in law, Danelle Williams of Apache Junction, AZ; two god children, Jessica Romero of New Iberia, and Cameron Golden of Lafayette; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin, Jason, and Bobby Daigle, Adam Hoffpauir, Adam Toucheque, and Brandon Romero.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joey Toucheque, Jonas Golden, Tommy Callias, David Ortego, Scott Deshotel, Vern Sundberg, Ross Busha, West Busha, Jeremy Romero, Jeremy Yeik, and Henry Vorderbruggen.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
