LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND AUNT Rynella"Funeral services for Mrs. Ned Thibodeaux, the former Ida "Mim" Segura, 95, will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home of New Iberia, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Thibodeaux passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 2:39 P.M. in a New Iberia care facility. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Thibodeaux was a devout member of St. Marcellus Catholic Church, where she served in various prayer groups. She was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Mrs. Thibodeaux enjoyed gardening, and she was an avid dancer. Her greatest joy in life, however, was being a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Joanna Thibodeaux of New Iberia; grandchildren, Chad Landry of Dequincy, Ruffin Walker of New Iberia, and Sam Walker and fianc, Kelsey Hebert of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Dax Walker, Austin Landry, Aaron Landry, Anilah Landry, and Aspon Landry, all of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mrs. Thibodeaux in death were her husband, Ned Joseph Thibodeaux; parents, Aodnis and Margaret Gary Segura; companion, Antoine Menard; sisters, Clara, Bertha, Bertina, Ada, and Lawrence; and brothers, Theogene, Averil, Sully, Rufus, Arty, and Theodore. Serving as pallbearers are friends and family members. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Christopher Landry, Dr. G.D. Sagrera, Hospice of Acadiana, New Iberia Manor North, and their many friends, especially Joannas Soul Sisters, Tracy Valls and Karen Baudoin.
