LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, SON, GRANDFATHER, BROTHER, AND FRIEND

New Iberia"Funeral services for Micheal My Baby Borel, 64, will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 4:00PM in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend A.L. Lyle will officiate, and a eulogy celebrating Mr. Borels life will be delivered by Lisa Duhon.

Interment with military honors rendered by V.F.W. Post 1982 will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, Jeanerette.Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.Mr. Borel passed away on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 6:50 P.M. in an Oklahoma City, OK hospital.A native of Louisa and lifelong resident of the New Iberia area, Mr. Borel was a proud United States Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam conflict. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1982. Mr. Borel was an avid RVer. He has said that he was happiest when he was behind the wheel of his motor home. He belonged to several RV/Camping clubs, including Cruisin Cajuns and Cajun Rebels. He also enjoyed Karaoke singing, dancing, and woodworking, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his loving wife, Edie.

Survivors include his wife, Edie LeBlanc Borel of New Iberia; mother, Gertrude Guillotte of New Iberia; sons, Micheal James Borel of New Iberia and Miles Joseph Borel and wife, Kristi of Bayou Vista; daughter, Marla Borel Domingues and husband, Keith of New Iberia; stepsons, Carlos Provost and Rusty Provost of New Iberia; stepdaughter, Jamie Provost of New Iberia; grandchildren, Tylor Clark of New Iberia, Keallie Bourque of Bayou Vista, Tre Bourque of Bayou Vista, Talyn Domingues of New Iberia, Ty Borel of Bayou Vista, and Milynn Borel of Bayou Vista; sisters, Druscilla Aunt Te Migues and husband, Raymond of New Iberia and Ella Williams and husband, Frank of Bayou Sorrel; and a host of other family members and many close friends who will miss him very much.

Preceding Mr. Borel in death was his father, Wilfred Borel, Jr.

Serving as pallbearers are Micheal J. Borel, Miles J. Borel, Carlos Provost, Rusty Provost, Tylor Clark, and Keith Domingues.

Named as honorary pallbearers are Tre Bourque, Jimmy Gallegos, and Matthew LeBlanc.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street, 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
