Edith Brown Rhyne

October 14, 1931 — October 11, 2008

Edith Joan Brown Rhyne was born October 14, 1931 in Shawn, Ky. and attended Florida State University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She taught school in St. Mary Parish for 10 years. Her parents and husband are deceased. She has two brothers, Charles G. Brown and Edward D. Brown, both of whom reside in Tampa, Fla. She also has two sisters, Bessie Knobel of Dothan, Alabama and Brenda Farley of Cedar Creek, Texas. She has three children; Bobby Rhyne of Lafayette, Ken Rhyne of Morgan City and Cathy Scott of Grandbury, TX. Her pride and joy were her 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sports and was a member of the A.C.B.L. Bridge Club, Womens Club and Phi Sigma Alpha. She is a loving Mom and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
