Lily Broussard Mullins

New Iberia ~ A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Ray Moon Mullins, the former Lily Gladys "Susie" Broussard, 88 at 1:00 PM Wednesday October 10, 2007 in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Floyd Calais officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Mullins passed away Monday October 8, 2007 at 6:52 AM in a Lafayette Nursing Home. Visiting Hours will be observed Wednesday October 10, 2007from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Mrs. Mullins was a native of New Iberia and a resident of New Iberia most of her life. In earlier years she was Branch Manager at the Iberia Bank (formerly Iberia Savings and Loan) on Duperier Avenue. She was a former member of the Fortnightly Club and the New Iberia Garden Club. Mrs. Mullins was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Mullins is survived by her daughters; Christine Goins Preis and her husband Edwin of Lafayette and Nancy Goins Kinder and her husband Richard of Houston, Texas, her grandchildren; Ginger Elizabeth Adam of Baton Rouge and Todd Vernon Adam and his wife Jennifer of Woodlands, Texas, her step grandchildren; Elise Preis Colomb and her husband Brian, Meredith Preis Lalonde and her husband Jonah and Meghan Preis Thibodeaux and her husband Dr. Garett Thibodeaux all of Lafayette and Kara Kinder Howes and her husband Aaron of Houston, Texas, her great great grandchildren; Anna Claire and Ava Adam of Woodlands, Texas,her step great great granchcildren Hayes and Meghan Colomb of Lafayette and Kendall, Mason and Austin Howes of Houston, Texas. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband Rayford Ray Moon Mullins, her first husband, Vernon Denford Goins, her parents Henry J. Broussard and Madeline Mialaret Broussard and a sister Marion Broussard Fox. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Edwin Preis Jr.,Richard Kinder, Todd V. Adam, Aaron Howes, Dr. Garett Thibodeaux, and Milton Aucoin. Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Wesley A. Fox, Richard J. Andre and Minos Red Landry Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street Lafayette, La. Special thanks to her devoted care givers during the final weeks of her journey home, the staff of Maison de Lafayette and Nicole Decuir, Janelle Gary, Louise Guidry, Brianee Hamilton and Rosa Marks; and our love and sincere gratitude to Joann Aucoin for her years of unselfish dedication and commitment that truly enabled our beloved Granny to now rest in peace.
