Elina Maturin Trahan

Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2:00PM until 10:00PM and will resume Monday, November 23, 2009 from 8:00AM until service. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00PM.
A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Trahan passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 5:00PM at her residence. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Elvar J. Trahan of New Iberia; one daughter, Pearl Trahan and companion JC Breaux IV of New Iberia, her son-in-law, Jerry Gaudet and companion Betty Richard of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Calvin Gaudet of Abbeville, Debbie Gaudet Miguez of New Iberia, Richard Gaudet and wife Tonia of Humble, TX; her great grandchildren, Nicole McMullan and husband Keith, Kim Meyers and husband Brian, Holly Gary and husband Murphy, Shauna Estis and companion Nolan Bonin, Laci Miguez, Matt Miguez and companion Heather, Jake Miguez, Brooks Gaudet Hebert, Zachary Gaudet all of New Iberia, Alexis and Taryn Gaudet of Humble, TX., Amber Gaudet andMason Gaudet both of Arnaudville and Tyler Gaudet of Texas; her great great grandchildren, CJ, Nicholas, Mackenzie Maturin, Dusty and Abbey Meyers, Brayton Gary, Lane Estis, Londyn Bonin, Talyn and Kadyn Cooper, and Elleyana Miguez all of New Iberia.
Mrs. Trahan was preceded in death by her parents, Anatole Maturin and Alzire Gary Maturin, a grandson, Kern Gaudet, and brothers, Adam Maturin, Willie Maturin, Jadeon Taco Maturin and Gilbert Maturin.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Gaudet, Richard Gaudet, Matt Miguez, Jake Miguez, Keith McMullan and Brian Meyers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Gaudet, Dusty Meyers and Nicholas Maturin.
