Grace Moore Walker

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Grace Moore Walker, Age 84, at 1:00PM Monday October 20, 2008 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday October 19, 2008 from 4:30PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Monday October 20, from 8:00AM until service time.

Born July 3, 1924, Mrs. Walker died Friday October 17, 2008 at 8:30PM peacefully with family at her bedside. She was a loving and devoted mother of seven. She enjoyed her many friends. Special thanks to all of them. She firmly believed in giving and sharing even though she didnt have much. She enjoyed making people laugh and smile. She will greatly missed by all.

Special thanks to Dr. G.D. Sagrera for 45 years of excellent care.

Survivors include her children; Wilton Walker of Folsom, La., Pam Landry and husband Joey, Donald Walker and Wanda Walker all of New Iberia, Richard Walker of Jeanerette and Michael Walker of Lafayette and two sisters; Lillian Adams of Rynella and Lelia LeBlanc of New Iberia. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son; Clayton Walker, her parents; Elie and Bertha Segura Moore, four brothers; Amar, Elis, Ellis and Lee Moore, four sisters; Eula Lacoste, Elia Boudreaux, Ada Boudreaux and Lucille Broussard and two grandsons; Shane Walker and Kendall Landry.

Pallbearers will be Timothy, Wilton, Richard and Wanda Walker and Minos, Joey and Matthew Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. G.D. Sagrera and Joseph OConner.
