Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Ernest Lee Pa Crochet, Age 90, at 1:00PM Tuesday December 2, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday December 1, 2008 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday December 2, from 8:00AM until service time.
He died Sunday November 30, 2008 at 6:15AM in a Lafayette health care facility.
A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville Mr. Crochet enjoyed working in his yard. He worked as a surveyor for C.H. Fenstermaker for many years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in both WWII and the Korean conflict.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Dosilva and Annette Broussard Crochet, brothers; Louis, Dennis, Henry, Rene, Seymour and Wilbur Crochet, sisters; Evangeline Crochet, Lorena C. Dugas, Selina C. Tuten, Enola Crochet Derouen and Clalia Crochet.
Pallbearers will be Harold Crochet, Jr., Louis Hebert, Donald Crochet, Barry Semar, Eric Comb and Dan Derouen.
David Funeral Home, 118 Main St. Loreauville, La (337-229-8338) is in charge of arrangements.
