Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Harold P. Naquin, Sr., Age 80, at 11:00AM Tuesday September 11, 2007 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday September 10, 2007 from 4:00PM till 10:00PM with a Rosary at 6:30PM and again Tuesday from 8:00AM until funeral time. He died Saturday September 8, 2007 at 1:50AM in a local hospital. A native of Franklin Mr. Naquin was a resident of Jeanerette. He was a retired operator at the Cabot carbon black plant. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He liked camping and dancing. Some of his last words was he loved all his family the same. He was a person who always greeted you with a smile. He and his wife Gert were married 54 years. Survivors include his wife; Gertrude LeBlanc Naquin of Jeanerette, one son; Harold Naquin, Jr. and wife Dixie of Jeanerette, two daughters; Sandra N. Verret and husband Curt and Gail N. Landry and husband Brett all of Jeanerette, one brother; Paul P. Naquin, Jr. and wife Sandra of Baldwin, three sisters; Vivian Walden and husband J.W. of Franklin, Emma Rochel and husband Hale of Mississippi and Betty Grow and husband Eddie of Patterson, grandchildren; Nichol LaBiche and husband Adam of New Iberia and Corey P. Naquin and wife Danielle of Jeanerette, great grandchildren; Kylan J. LaBiche and Riley C. LaBiche both of New Iberia and Gavin P. Naquin and Gage D. Naquin both of Jeanerette. He was preceded in death by his parents; Paul, Sr. and Edmonia Guillotte Naquin, his brother; Ernest Mike Naquin and a sister Goldie N. Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Harold P. Naquin, Jr, Corey Naquin, Paul Naquin, Jr., Curt Verret, Brett Landry and Adam LaBiche.
