New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Theophile Galliano, the former Yvonne Doucet, 78, will be celebrated on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. The Reverend Steve LeBlanc will serve as celebrant.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
A committal service and entombment will be held on Friday at 3:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Galliano, LA.
Mrs. Galliano passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 6:45 A.M. in an Abbeville care facility.
A native of Galliano and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Galliano was a devout member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the casino, doing crafts, sewing, and traveling, having visited California and other locales. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Philip Boudeloche, Sr. and wife, Judy of New Iberia; daughters, Joella Callais and husband, Ronald of Raceland and Mary Collins and husband, Dennis of Galliano; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mrs. Galliano in death were her husband, Theophile Galliano; and parents, Oris and Ava Rousse Doucet.
Serving as pallbearers are members of Mrs. Gallianos family.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
