New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Elmo J. LaBauve, Jr., the former Evelyn Claire Blimpy DeRouen, 82 on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Mike Arnaud officiating. Interment will follow in Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Friday, January, 2, 2009 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. LaBauve died on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 10:31 AM in a New Iberia nursing home. She was a secretary for 15 years at Peoples National Bank. She was a member of the Ladies Alter Society, Baby Visiting Committee, A Eucharistic Minister and served on the Parish Council at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Renee LaBauve Haney and her husband Phil and Cindy LaBauve Landry and her husband Ross all of New Iberia; her sons, Andre Paul LaBauve of Miami, FL and Keith J. LaBauve and his wife Katie of New Iberia; her sister, Lela D. DeRouen and her grandchildren, Aimee H. Brasseux of New Iberia, Adam Haney of Baton Rouge, Alan Haney of New Iberia, Chloe Landry Busch of Dayton, OH, Jude Landry of Bloomington, IL, Mark Landry, Sara Landry, Matthew LaBauve, Thomas LaBauve, Michael LaBauve and David LaBauve all of New Iberia and her great grandchildren, Kate, Claire, Jack Brasseux, Caroline, Courtlyn, Eli LaBauve and Joan Landry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo J. LaBauve, Jr.; her parents, Sidney L. DeRouen and Chloe Broussard DeRouen and her brothers, LeRoy DeRouen and Carroll Chucky DeRouen.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Adam Haney, Alan Haney, Jude Landry, Mark Landry, Matthew LaBauve, Thomas LaBauve, Michael LaBauve and David LaBauve.

Memorials may be sent to Catholic High School, St. Edwards School and/or the Sisters of Mt. Carmel
