Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Weston Guilbeaux, the former Claradine "Dean" Broussard, 82, will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Austin Lege officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 9:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Erath, Mrs. Guilbeaux died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 7:02PM at a local hospital. Mrs. Guilbeaux had been the owner and operator of Dean's Beauty shop in Erath for over 40 years before she retired. "Dean" was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dearly loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Guilbeaux Babineaux of New Orleans, and Lois Guilbeaux of Erath; two grandchildren, J. Simonet Babineaux of New Orleans, and Claire Babineaux Medo of Birmingham, Alabama; three great grand children Hunter Weston Babineaux and Lauren Julia Babineaux of New Orleans, and Marcelle Megan Medo of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weston Guilbeaux; her parents, Deluke and Anelie Landry Broussard; and a brother, Stephen "Steve" Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be Philip Babineaux, J. Simonet Babineaux, Ryan Medo, Terry Broussard, Seth Duhon and Jimmie Gaspard.
