Ezare Begnaud Demette

Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dudley Demette, the former Ezare Begnaud, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, with Father Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning Friday, November 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A native of Judice and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Demette passed away at 8:29 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at her residence. She was a loving mother and enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her five sons, Bradley Demette and wife, Patsy, Harry P. Demette and wife, Brenda, Ray Demette and wife, Renee, Randy Demette and wife, Karen, all of Lafayette, and Kermit Demette and wife, Christine of Maurice; two daughters, Glenda Girouard and husband, James of Loreauville and Sandra Guilbeau and husband, Terry of Broussard; twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Demette; her parents, Theodore and Louise Mouton Begnaud; son, Harry James Demette; daughter, Eva Rose Demette; two brothers, Adolf Begnaud and Voorhies Begnaud; and three sisters, Doris Touchet, Avia DeBlanc and Delores Credeur.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Demette, Shane Guilbeau, Tony Demette, Jimmy Girouard, Kermit Demette and Randy Demette. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Guilbeau and Harry Demette.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy., (337) 837-9887, is in charge of the arrangements.
