BROUSSARD- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for Earline Romero Comeaux, 71, who passed away December 5, 2009 at 10:30 p.m. Reverend Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and Funeral Services. Entombment will take place in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum. The Sacred Heart Choir will perform the following musical selections: Ave Maria, On Eagles Wings, How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. Mrs. Comeaux, a resident of Broussard, was the daughter of the late Arvelien Romero and Eula Hulin Romero. She was a former employee of the U.S. Clerk of Courts Office and Deputy Clerk for U.S. District Judge Richard Putnam, and an 18 year employee of the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Courts Office. The family would like to thank her former co-workers for their many years of friendship. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Walter S. Comeaux Jr., one daughter, Pamela Lynn Zuschlag and her husband John, her sons Walter S. Comeaux III, and Ed Comeaux and his wife Louise, six grandchildren, Justin and Carr Zuschlag, Mallory and Walter Comeaux, and Zack and Jennifer Comeaux. She is also survived by her siblings: Curtis Romero, Allen Romero and his wife Maudry, Barbara Broussard and her husband Ray, Belver Lopez and her husband Carroll, Brenda Bourque, Kenneth Romero and his wife Barbara, Linda Bernard and her husband A.B., and Bridget Labatut and her husband Rusty. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Ronald James Romero and Carol H. Romero, and one sister, Nellie Romero Tujague. The family would like to thank friends and relatives who visited and comforted her in her final days, as well as the staffs of Camelot and Heart of Hospice. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from Monday, 5:00PM, until 9:00PM, and continue on Tuesday, 9:00AM, until time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6:30PM at David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Highway, Lafayette. Pallbearers will be Justin Zuschlag, Carr Zuschlag, Walter Comeaux IV, Zack Comeaux, Kenneth Romero and Cullen Bernard.
