Abbeville " Funeral Services for Homer Lee Cuvillier, 79, will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Deacon David Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 5:00PM until 10:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Mr. Cuvillier a native of Lake Arthur and a resident of Abbeville died at 3:00AM on Friday, November 14, 2008 at a local hospital. He was a retired equipment operator and had served his country in the U.S. Army. He was also known for making his own gill nets. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Lege Cuvillier of Abbeville; two daughters, Darryln Morgan of Pineville and Johnette Cuvillier Austin of Waxhaw, NC; five step-sons, Dale Harrington of Pecan Island, John Harrington of Gatlinburg, TN, Roy Harrington of Abbeville, Robert Harrington of Tampa, FL, and Rudy Harrington of Kaplan; three step-daughters, Brenda Harrington of Abbeville, Cindy Sumners of Abbeville, and Gay Harrington of Kaplan; three sisters, Ida Mae Doyle of Iowa, LA, Alise Landry of Jennings, and Thelma Reeves of Iowa, LA; five grandchildren, twenty-three step- grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and thirty step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ida Duhon Cuvillier; and a step-son, James Lance Harrington. Serving as pallbearers will be family members and friends.
