Margaret Frances Luent

Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Paulin Luent, the former Margaret Frances Thibodeaux, 78 on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia, Mrs. Luent died on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at 1:05 PM at her residence while surrounded by her family. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post 365 in Lydia and a Leader of the Junior Auxillary for many years. She was an Income Tax Preparer and worked for H & R Block and then went in business for herself. She was a Seamstress, loved Crafts, Traveling and collecting rocks. As a very talented Crafts person, she could indeed turn trash into treasures.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of 62 years, Paulin Luent ; her daughters, Jackie L. Landry and her husband Ronald Landry, Gayle L. Broussard and her husband Lynn Broussard and Darlene L. Eskind and her husband Jimmy Eskind; her sons, Charlie Luent and his wife Peggy D. Luent; Tim Luent and his wife Beverly F. Luent and Dane Luent and his wife Christy A. Luent all of Lydia; her sisters, Rosa Mae T. Prince, Prisicilla T. Fondren, Gwen T. Ardeneaux all of Lydia and Bernice Nicky T. Guillory of Mamou; her brothers, Raymond Thibodeaux, Junius Thibodeaux, Jr. Julius Butch Thibodeaux all of Lydia, Kenneth Thibodeaux of Glouster, Mass. And Oris Thibodeaux of Houma. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and expecting twin great grandchildren in January 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junius J. Thibodeaux, Sr. and Emma Liner Thibodeaux; her sister, Bertha T. Walker and two grandsons, Ty and Tommy Luent.

Pallbearers will be Charles Luent, Tim Luent, Lynn Broussard, Jimmy Eskind, Matt Landry and Trinity Luent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Landry, Ronald Landry, Darlene Eskind, Gayle Broussard, Dane Luent, Christy Luent, Peggy Luent and Beverly Luent.

Memorial may be sent to AAA Hospice and/or Lydia Cancer Association.
