Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Justilien Joe J. Bergeron, Jr., age 61, will be held at 3:30PM on Monday, November 24, 2008 at David Funeral Home of Abbeville, with Fr. Greg Chauvin officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, November 24, 2008 beginning at 9:00AM until services with a recitation of the rosary by Mrs. Betty Davidson at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Mr. Bergeron, a native of Lockport, Louisiana and resident of Abbeville died at 1:45PM on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at his residence. He was employed as an Engineer on a crew boat with Tidewater Marine for many years. He is survived by his wife Gloria Davidson Bergeron of Abbeville; his daughter, Cheryl Toups and her husband Dwayne of Meaux; his son David Breaux and his wife Maxine of Delcambre; a sister, Elsie Green of Desalmonds; two brothers, Roy Bergeron, Sr. and Kirby Bergeron both of Thibodeaux; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justilien J. Bergeron, Sr., and Leota Rivet Bergeron. Pallbearers will be Drake Toups; Billy Broussard; Roy Bergeron, Sr.; Roy Bergeron, Jr.; Kirby Bergeron, Sr,; and Toby Bergeron. Honorary pallbearers will be David Breaux, Jr., and Sean Breaux. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Heart of Hospice, 101 Park West Dr., Suite B, Scott, Louisiana 70583.
