Leonia Brice Miguez

Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Sterling J. Miguez, the former Leonia Brice, 98, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Kendal Faulk officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 29, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Landry Cemetery. Mrs. Miguez a native of Henry and a resident of Abbeville died at 12:00AM on Friday, December 26, 2008 at a Lafayette Hospital. She was known for her love to play bingo. She is survived by two sons, Nelson J. Miguez of Abbeville and James C. Miguez of Erath; a daughter, Mary Lynn M. Suire of Abbeville; six grand children, eleven great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling J. Miguez; her parents, Jean Brice and Alice Dupry Brice; a son, Joseph Miguez; a daughter, Alice Miguez; two brothers, George and Justin Brice; three sisters, Justina Soirez, Antionette Landry, and Rosella Lege; and a grandchild, Corey J. Miguez. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
