Freddie G. Haydell, Sr.

A native of Abbeville and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Haydellpassed awayTuesday December 8, 2009 at 1:06AM in a local hospital. He retired from Entex as personnel manager after 46 years of service. He was a member of VFW Post 1982 and enjoyed playing golf and being with his family. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Decoux Haydell of New Iberia; one daughter, Pauline H. Badeaux and husband Jeff and a son Freddie G. Haydell, Jr. and wife Diane all of New Iberia and one sister, Barbara Broussard of Abbeville; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne (Mike)Haydell; parents, Achille and Angele Ledet Haydell; two brothers, Mayo and Celie Haydell and five sisters, Lena H. Guillot, Annie H. Mayers, Noelie H. Landry, Amy H. Broussard and Stella H. Chauvin.

Pallbearers will be Brad, Mike, Patrick, Corey and Mark Haydell and Cayce and Bart Badeaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danielle, Michael, Justin, Ashley, Noah and Caroline Haydell, Kim Frazier, Madeleine Brown, Ava Williams and Christian Mendoza.
