New Iberia "Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Ulysse Guillotte the former Denise Danet, Age 80, at 2:00PM Friday September 14, 2007 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon John Sarkies officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday September 13, 2007 from 11:00AM till 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Friday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Wednesday at 7:45AM at her daughters residence in Broussard.

A native of Paris France she had been a longtime resident of New Iberia and Broussard. She was owner operator of Shortys Truck Stop in Broussard and Guidrys Grocery in New Iberia. She was a member of the Sr. Olympics, The Iberia Council on Aging and she loved to travel.

Survivors include two daughters; Jeannine Breaux and husband Collin of Broussard and Annette Begnaud and husband Charlie of New Iberia, three sons; Raymond and Zollie Guidry both of Lafayette and Allen Guidry and wife Jackie of Nashville, Tennessee, Grandchildren; Deni Breaux, Dwayne Breaux, Mary Cay Guidry, Nicky Guidry ,Jamie Guidry and Sara Guidry all of Lafayette, Zollie James Guidry and wife Josetta of Baton Rouge, Charlie Begnaud IIand wife Amy, Danet Clements and husband Shawn and Joshua Begnaud all of New Iberia and Jakob and Matthew Guidry of Nashville, Tennessee, Great Grandchildren; Sydney, Whitney, Stevie ,Triston and Carleigh all of New Iberia and Casey and Landon of Lafayette and one Great Great Grandchild; Conner of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ulysse Shorty Guillotte, parents; Ernest and Rachel Meme Nicolle and her first husband Allen J. Guidry.

Pallbearers will be Zollie Guidry, Raymond Guidry, Allen Guidry, Collin Breaux, Charlie Begnaud and Dwayne Breaux.
