Armand the former Georgia Laverne Hawthorne, Age 79, at 10:00 AM Monday, October 8, 2007 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Deacon John Sarkies officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM till 9:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00 AM until service time. She died Saturday October 6, 2007 at 5:45 AM at her residence in New Iberia. A native of Prairie Hill, Texas she had been a resident of New Iberia for many years. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, drawing and music. Survivors include her husband; Richard D. Armand of New Iberia, three sons; Michael E. Armand and his wife Shirley, Lawrence J. Armand and his wife Melissa and Russell D. Armand and his wife Cynthia all of New Iberia, seven grandchildren andfour great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leemon and Ida Mae Hutton Hawthorne. Pallbearers will be Jennifer Armand, Richard Armand, Eugene Armand, Elliot Armand, Robert Armand and Ethan Armand. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, La.
