Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Isaac Sonnier, Sr. the former Rosita Rose Faulk, Age 79 at 1:00PM Thursday May 29, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 11:20AM in a local health care facility. A native of Abbeville Mrs. Sonnier spent most of her life in Jeanerette. Survivors include her husband; Isaac Sonnier Sr. of Jeanerette, four sons; Isaac Sonnier, Jr. and wife Janice of Jeanerette, Earl Sonnier and wife Darlene of New Iberia, Rickey Sonnier and wife Wanda of Loreauville and Danny Sonnier and wife Luna of Lafayette, one sister; Edmae Romero of Youngsville, three brothers; Jessie, Sidney and Melvin Faulk all of Abbeville, grandchildren; Jade Sonnier of Jeanerette, Jaron Sonnier of Lafayette, Anthony Sonnier and Sara Duplantis both of New Iberia, Ryan and Michael Sonnier both of Loreauville and Kyla Sonnier of Abbeville. great grandchildren; Austin Sonnier of Delcambre, Destiny Sonnier of Catahoula, Zachary Sonnier of Abbeville, Landyn and Courtney Jade Sonnier both of Baton Rouge, Jacob Duplantis and Tobie Sonnier both of New Iberia, Luke and Lanie Sonnier of Loreauville and Kameron Sonnier of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; Angers and Etienne Bourque Faulk, one brother; Emery Faulk, one sister; Hazel Tinney and one grandson Tate Sonnier. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
