Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Sheryl A. Romero, 51, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at St. Theresas Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.

Ms. Romero a native and resident of Abbeville died Monday, September 17, 2007 at 1:40PM at Dauterive Hospital. First and foremost she was a wonderful mother and grandmother that was very well known and loved. She had a love for outdoors, fishing, and being there for those in need. She was employed at Gulf Coast Bank for over 27 year and always greeted her customers with a warm smile.

She is survived by a son, Ryan and his wife Trina Frederick of Abbeville; a daughter, Jill Frederick of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Claire Frederick, Dane Cessac, and Madison Cessac all of Abbeville; her mother, Joyce Mergist of Abbeville; her father, J. C. and his wife Brenda Romero of Erath; two sisters, Donna Hebert of Kaplan, and Sonia Primeaux of Erath; and a sister in law, Donna Faye Romero of Erath.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Randall James Romero.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Faulk, Jonathan Faulk, Neal Lange, Farrell Hebert, Gerald Dartez, and Travis Dronet.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling the arrangements.
