Noo Boo as she was known to all the local community, was born on June 10, 1920 on Weeks Island, LA, a small village that offered a great environment for a child to grow up. She often spoke of all the good times that she and her brothers and friends had going to school, walking through the deep creeks, picking blackberries and muscadines and swimming at Shell Bank. She graduated from Franklin High School and then went on to work for Myles Salt Co. (now Morton Salt). Noo Boo then married the love of her life Mr. C. O. Louis Stroud. While they both worked for Morton, they enjoyed so much to have a good time, house parties, family gatherings, holiday parties and traveling. They had a great time!! She always loved her cats and dogs (Best fed animals in town, pepperoni and baked chicken anyone?) and being well dressed was a must, everything had to match. An elegant woman she was! We will miss you and love you for ever and ever and ever.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. O. Louis Stroud; her parents, Albert and Ellenee Jolet; her brothers, Emmett, Raymond, Albert A. J. , Jr. and Harris Jolet; her nephew, Chester Howard; her nieces, Juanita Howard Jolet and Minnie V. Howard Lasseigne; her great nephew, Chris Jolet and her great great niece, Madison Jolet.

Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Thibodeaux.

The family would like to thank her devoted care givers, Rita and Donna Thibodeaux and Debra Galthier who cared for her and kept her comfortable for the last years of her wonderful life.
