Lafayette " A Memorial Service for Mrs. Ruth Terrebonne Sanderson, 77, will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00AM Westside Funeral Home Chapel in Marrero, LA. The family will begin gathering on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:00AM. A native of Westwego and a resident of Broussard Mrs. Sanderson died at 2:30PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Camelot of Broussard. Mrs. Sanderson was retired after over 30 years as a Dietary Supervisor employee with the Jefferson Parish School Board. She was a hard worker and devoted catholic who made sure her familys needs were met. Mrs. Ruth was a people person that was often reaching out to help others. She is survived by two daughters, Iris and her husband Bobby Crockett of Broussard, and Michele and her husband Scott Rogers of Harvey; a brother, Morris Terrebonne of Westwego; a sister, Delores Camardelle of Westwego; five grandchildren, Joshua Rome, Michael Rome, Zackery Rogers, Rachel Rogers, and Tabatha Rome; and three great grandchildren, Cameron, Noah, and Brodie. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Sanderson; her parents, Iris and Ozelia Aguilliard Terrebonne; two sons, Dale Rome and Kevin Rome; and a brother, Larry Terrebonne. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Camelot of Broussard for the exceptional care they gave their mother received.
