Abbeville " Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilbert Schexnider, the former Betty I Got It Meaux,76, will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held a David Funeral Home of Abbeville, on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 9:00AM until the time of Services. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Schexnider, a native and a resident of Abbeville died at 10:42PM on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at her residence. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved going to the casino, playing bingo and enjoyed doing arts & crafts. She is survived by her three sons, Johnny Duhon, Jr. of Abbeville, Jerry Wayne Schexnider of Columbia, Mississippi; and Roger Dale Schexnider of Beaumont, Texas; one daughter, Kathy Hoke of League City, Texas; and one brother, Danaray Meaux of New Orleans; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley J. Meaux and Evelyn Hebert; her first husband Oran John Duhon, Sr.; her second husband, Wilbert Alcide Schexnider; and one brother Willis Soirez, Jr. David Funeral Home of Abbeville, 2600 Charity Street, (337)893-3777, will be handling the arrangements.
