Doris Ansley Simoneaux

Loving Mother and Grandmother Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Doris Ansley Simoneaux, Age 85, at 11:00AM Saturday February 7, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday February 6, 2009 from 5:30PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. Gift bearers will be her great grandchildren. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette Ms. Simoneaux died Thursday February 5, 2009 at 6:40AM in a New Iberia health care facility. She was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed reading and working in her yard. Survivors include her daughter; Patricia A. LeBlanc and husband Paul of New Iberia, one brother; Everette Ansley Jr. of Jeanerette, grandchildren; Tabitha L. Maillet and husband Bruce and Nicole L. Bertrand and husband Michael all of New Iberia and Blair Leblanc and wife Allison of Youngsville. She was preceded in death by one son; Nathan Anthony Simoneaux, her parents; Everette Ansley Sr. and Lucille Savoy Ansley twin granddaughters; Leah and Lisa LeBlanc and a sister; Shirley Rita Ansley. Pallbearers will be Paul and Blair LeBlanc, Scott, Bruce and Bradley Maillet and Michael Bertrand. Donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Lafayette, La. 70503.
