Youngsville " Funeral Services for Gabriel Joseph Bourque, 60, will be held at The Garden Baptist Church on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2:30PM with Rev. Larry Langley officiating. Visitation will begin on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00AM. The funeral home will remain open all night until the time of services on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Interment will follow at St. Annes Cemetery. A native of Jeanerette and resident of Youngsville, Gabriel passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 3:32AM at University Medical Center in Lafayette. He was a people person who very much enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially all of his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Joycelyn Hulin Bourque of Youngsville; two sons, Kirk Bourque and his wife Melinda of Youngsville, and Jadey Bourque and his wife Chere of Kaplan; two daughters, Rachel Bourque and her partner Mandy of Maurice, and Heather Arcement and her husband Cy of Youngsville; a brother, Wally Gary of Franklin; a sister, Barbara Ann Bourque of Abbeville; his mother-in-law, Rita Romero Hulin of Youngsville; his son-in-law, Jessie Plaisance, Jr. of Youngsville; and seven grandchildren, Dustin Plaisance, Dylan Bourque, Kirstlyn Bourque, Caleb Gaige Bourque, Jadey Jenee' Bourque, Aubrey Arcement and Xander Gabriel Arcement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virise Bourque and Lawarance Savoy; a brother, Dalton Bourque; three sisters, Rita Bourque Gary, Merline and Shirline Bourque; his grandmother that raised him, Adanis Te-Mom Romero; and his father-in-law, Donald Hulin. Serving as pallbearers will be Rachel Bourque, Kirk Bourque, Jadey Bourque, Jessie Plaisance, Jr., Dustin Plaisance, Dylan Bourque, Gaige Bourque, Cy Arcement, and Wilton Gary, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Sterling T-Neg Romero, Wally Gary, Willie Trimble, Joe Fontenot, his 4 nieces, Debra, Bernedette, LeeAnne and Brenda, as well as his sister Barbara Ann Bourque.
