Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Harold J. Broussard, the former Mabel Simon, 75, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 20, 2009 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00AM until time of services. Burial will take place at St. Anne Cemetery. A native and resident of Youngsville, Mabel passed away at 8:50AM on Friday, April 17, 2009 at a local hospital. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and staying home to take care of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Babineaux and husband Howard of Youngsville; her son, Ronnie Broussard and wife Tammy of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Kristy Bass, Tyler Romero, Colby Romero and Matthew Broussard, all of Youngsville; two great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Romero and Carter Delphin, both of Youngsville; and her sister, Cecile Langlinais of Youngsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Broussard; her parents, Mayo and Louise Hollier Simon; her daughter, Cheryl Bass; and her brother, Roy Simon.
