Loving Mother and Grandmother

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Oscar Hebert, the former Marjorie Moncla, 89, on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 18, 2009 beginning at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.

A native of Patoutville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert died on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 8:30 AM at her residence. She was an avid soap opera fan. She was the proud owner of a photograph of the cast of The Young and The Restless , which was signed by the entire cast and hung in her dining room.

She is survived by her son, Bill Hebert of New Iberia; her grandson, Andrew Hebert of New Iberia; her daughter-in-law, Dianne S. Hebert of Lafayette and her sister, Barbara Moncla Lancon of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Hebert; her parents, Maurice and Pearl Hoag Moncla; her sister, Mildred Moncla Berard and her brothers, Maurice Sonny Moncla, Milan Paul Moncla, Elton Teddy Moncla and Leon Charles Moncla.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Migues, Danny Hebert, Donald Poche, Ronald Hebert, John Berard and Tom Tharp.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
