New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Uric Joseph Joe Clark, Age 79, at 1:00PM Thursday January 14, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Richard Green officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Jeanerette. Visitation will be Wednesday January 13, 2010 from 4:30PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:30PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. A native of Jeanerette and longtime resident of New Iberia Mr. Clark died Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 4:20AM in a local health care facility. Mr. Clark was retired from the U.S. Army after serving 23 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 1982. He also retired from Cleco after 20 years of service as a computer operations manager. Mr. Joe was an avid fisherman and hunter and he enjoyed trawling, bowling and the great outdoors. Survivors include his children, William Clark and wife Blanche, Francis Clark, Susan Eldridge and Jacqueline Trahan and husband Joseph all of New Iberia and Michelle Pirane and husband Marcello of Bridge Port Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Lecher Clark; parents, Oliver Pappa Sport Clark and Matilde Leblanc Clark; a daughter Betty Jo Leleux and a sister Berline Barrilleaux. Pallbearers will be Tommy Leleux Joey and Bobby Trahan, Michael Boudreaux, Jon Robillard and Josh Peltier. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Thomas, Joe Serwatka and Jeremy Meaux.
