Roy L. Hebert

April 15, 1916 — February 5, 2009

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Roy L. Hebert, Age 92, at 10:00AM Saturday February 7, 2009 at Holy Family Chapel on Curtis Lane with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday February 6, 2009 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume from 8:00AM Saturday until service time. Military graveside honors will be conducted by members of the VFW Post 1982 Honor Guard. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia Mr. Hebert died Thursday February 5, 2009 at 1:40PM in a local health care facility. He retired as an engineer from Southern Pacific Railroad after 32 years of service. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. The family would especially like to thank Annie Belle and Joyce DeFlos for the excellent and loving care given to Mr. Roy. Survivors include three nieces; Sally Hebert, Brenda G. Gonsoulin and Mary Gautreaux all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his wife; Daisy Gautreaux Hebert, parents; Sidney J. Hebert and Sedonia LeBlanc Hebert and two brothers; Sidney P. Hebert and George J. Hebert. Pallbearers will be Jerry, Darin and Kade Gonsoulin, Greg and Drake Bodin, ONeil Sonny Tyler and Pat Broussard. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
