Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Edmond Frank Landry, Age 89, at 11:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00 AM until service time. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the VFW Post 1982. A native of Patoutville and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Edmond retired as a mail carrier after 30 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He loved hunting and fishing and was a well known and respected taxidermist. Mr. Landry was also known by many for his kindness and conversation. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Guillotte Landry of Jeanerette; children, Eddie Landry of New Iberia, Andre Landry of Jeanerette, Gabriel Landry of Coteau and Marjorie L. Johnson of Franklin; two sisters, Myrtle Grisaffi and Mary Broussard both of Jeanerette; two brothers, Ulysse Landry of Jeanerette and Allen Landry of Deridder; 10 grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Honore and Clotilde Landry Landry; two sisters, Eunice Ladoucer and Marjorie Landry and one grandson, Little Eddie Landry. Pallbearers will be Eddie, Andre, Gabriel, Todd and Gordon Landry and Steve Buteau. David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St, Jeanerette, La. (337)276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
