Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Edmond Frank Landry, Age 89, at 11:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00 AM until service time. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the VFW Post 1982. A native of Patoutville and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Edmond retired as a mail carrier after 30 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He loved hunting and fishing and was a well known and respected taxidermist. Mr. Landry was also known by many for his kindness and conversation. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Guillotte Landry of Jeanerette; children, Eddie Landry of New Iberia, Andre Landry of Jeanerette, Gabriel Landry of Coteau and Marjorie L. Johnson of Franklin; two sisters, Myrtle Grisaffi and Mary Broussard both of Jeanerette; two brothers, Ulysse Landry of Jeanerette and Allen Landry of Deridder; 10 grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Honore and Clotilde Landry Landry; two sisters, Eunice Ladoucer and Marjorie Landry and one grandson, Little Eddie Landry.
