Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ernesto C. Jorajuria, 70, on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Annes Catholic Church at 10:00AM. Visitation will take place at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, November 12, 2009 beginning at 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Opelousas. A native of Cardenas, Cuba and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Jorajuria died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Lafayette General Hospital at 1:50PM. Mr. Jorajuria was a manager with Acadiana Dodge for over 25 years and also was the owner of Ernestos Auto Repairs for 13 years. His favorite thing in life was to be outdoors on the water with his boat, whether it was fishing or just enjoying the day, and he made sure that everyone who was with him had as great of a time. He is survived by his wife Sueli Melo Jorajuria of Lafayette; his mother, Eneida Gines Jorajuria of Lafayette; his son Tico F. Jorajuria and his wife Alison of Lafayette; his daughter, Lea Guillory and her husband Jonas of Destin, FL; one sister, Lia Williams of Opelousas; seven grandchildren, Devon Jorajuria, Joshua Jorajuria, Jordan Jorajuria, Alexis Guillory, Noah Guillory, Joseph Guillory and Charlie Guilory; and two stepdaughters, Rosely Batista of Rio de Janeiro and Alessandra Batista of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Jorajuria and his first wife, Rita Monne Jorajuria. Serving as pallbearers will be Tico Jorajuria, Jonas Guillory, B.J. Williams, Jose Williams, Dr. Morrie Dellinger and Mark Baudoin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mariano Hernandez and Devon Jorajuria.
