Oflida "Fid" Langlinais Vice

Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dalton J. Vice, the former Oflida Fid Langlinais, 89, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church, with Father Herb Bennerfeld officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, March 6, 2009, beginning at 10:00AM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Mrs. Vice, a native of Vermilion Parish, and a resident of Erath, passed away at 5:00AM on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Vice was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who treasured every moment she spent with her family. Fid enjoyed working in her yard.
She is survived by one son, James Vice and his wife Glenda of Erath; and a daughter, Sister Regina Marie Vice, SSJ of Holyoke, Massachusetts; and six grandchildren, Marie Clare Cooper, Chris Vice, Anthony Vice, Scott Vice, Eric Vice and Philip Vice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton J. Vice; her parents, Leotard Langlinais and Marie Elda Boutte Touchet; two brothers, Theodore Langlinais and Aristile Chris Langlinais; and four sisters, Ida Stelly, Aurora Broussard, Lou Mae Guidry, and Rena Guidry.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Vice, Anthony Vice, Scott Vice, Eric Vice, Philip Vice, and Jeremy Cooper.
David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 E. Putnam St., (337) 937-0405, will be handling the arrangements.
