Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Clifton Hulin, Sr., 82, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 8:00AM until time of services. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum. A native and resident of Youngsville, Clifton passed away at 12:44PM on Monday, February 1, 2010 at a local hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Cunningham DD-752 Destroyer. Clifton was a lab technician at USL for ten years. He worked for the United States Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier for 35 years and retired in 1999. Clifton was also a member of the VFW Post 9210 and Woodmen of the World. He attended the Cursillo #3 and was a parishoner of St. Anne Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Agnes Rose Hulin; his sons, Joseph Clifton Hulin, Jr. and fiance Sharon, and Faren James Hulin and wife Lea, all of Youngsville; four grandsons, Brandon Hulin and wife Amber, Brian Hulin, Sean Hulin and Joshua Hulin, all of Youngsville; and two great-grandchildren, Brody Hulin and Emily Hulin, both of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Usil and Azelie Vice Hulin; his son, Ronald James Hulin; and his brother, Donald Hulin. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Hulin, Brian Hulin, Sean Hulin, Joshua Hulin, Willie Trimble and Kurt Bourque. Honorary pallbearer will be Jackie Segura. The Hulin Family would like to thank the staff of Lafayette General, including his doctors and nurse, Karen, as well as special friend, Maydale LeBlanc.
