Bessie Authement Cunningham

Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Ernest J. Cunningham the former Bessie Authement, Age 96, at 11:00AM Monday February 23, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Visitation will be Monday February 23, 2009 at David Funeral Home in Jeanerette from 9:00AM until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00AM at the funeral home.

A native of Terrebonne parish and longtime resident of Jeanerette Mrs. Cunningham died Friday February 20, 2009 at 6:25AM in a local health care facility. Mrs. Cunningham enjoyed sewing and caring for her family.

Survivors include her son; Roy Cunningham and wife Jeanette of New Iberia, daughters; Miriam C. Breaux and Faye Cunningham Borel and husband Larry all of Jeanerette and Iona C. Rogers of Lockport, twenty nine grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ernest J. Cunningham, parents; Wallace and Fabiola Babin Authement,two daughters; Beulah C. Moore and Joyce C. Colletti, one son; Ray Anthony Cunningham, two brothers; Ralph and Allen Authement and three sisters; Lottie Blanchard, Blanche Boudreaux and Elise Fatchette.

Pallbearers will be family members.
