Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Oscar Joseph "Meyon" Oubre, 90, on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 PM. A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Oubre was a retired farmer, a member of the Woodmen of the World and Farm Bureau. He loved working in the yard, gardening and dancing. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gertrude Breaux Oubre of Loreauville; his sons, Michael Joseph Oubre and his wife Mary of Coteau and Rickie James Oubre and his wife Debbie of Loreauville; his daughter, Trudy Marie Bryant and her husband Kenny of Dubai; his grandchildren, Tate Oubre and his wife Stacey of Youngsville, Tanya Oubre Fox and her husband Peter of Tappan, NY, Katlyn Bryant of Baton Rouge, Hannah Bryant and Sammuel Bryant both of Dubai, Beneth Arceneaux and her husband Chad of Broussard, B. J. Habtez and his wife Courtney of Youngsville, Noelie Oubre of Broussard, Tiffany Oubre and Renee Oubre both of Loreauville and his great grandchildren, Sydney Oubre and Seth Oubre both of Youngsville and Catherine Fox and Colin Fox both of Tappan, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Rosa LeBlanc Oubre; his brother, Lewis Oubre and his sister, Evelyn Kern. Pallbearers will be Michael Joseph Oubre, Rickie James Oubre, Tate Michael Oubre, Jessie Breaux, Clark Provost, Calvin Robicheaux, Kenny Bryant and Ronald Oubre. Honorary pallbearers will be Aymar Dugas, Peter Fox, B. J. Habtez, Chad Arceneaux,Ray Broussard, Seth Oubre and Sammuel Bryant.
