Mr. Trahan a native and resident of Youngsville died at 12:05AM on Friday, May 29, 2009 at his residence. He retired from the city of Lafayette and was previously employed at Hub City Ford for over 15 years in the paint and body shop. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, especially working in his garden.
He is survived by his daughter, Janel and her husband Wayne Comeaux of Youngsville; two grandsons, Chuck and his wife Lisa Comeaux of Spring, TX and Chad and his wife Tammy Comeaux of Youngsville; two great grandchildren, Charles Brent Comeaux and Bethany Belle Comeaux; a brother, Deacon Joe Trahan of Broussard; and three sisters, Lovida Trahan, Mae Morvant, and Yola Louviere all of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Betty Trahan; his parents, Lodias and Adrienne Broussard Trahan; two brothers, Walter Trahan and Wallace Trahan; and three sisters, Agnes Hulin, Mabel Bell, and Zulma Broudraux.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Hulin, Clyde Landry, Charles Guilbeau, Rene Louviere, David John Trahan, and Walter Trahan Jr.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
