Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Rev. Andrew Hebert, Age 82, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the United Pentecostal Church in Lydia, LA. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum in Jeanerette. The services will be conducted by Rev.Kevin Cox, Rev. Rick Pavlu, and Rev. Ron Perkins. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F. W. Post 1982 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held at the United Pentecostal Church Friday, February 20, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will resume Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 8:00 AM until time of the service.

Rev. Hebert passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 7:05 PM at his residence in Lydia, LA. Rev. Hebert was the minister at the United Pentecostal Church. He also worked as a mechanic for Morton Salt retiring after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Lydia American Legion. Rev. Hebert served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Rev. Hebert is survived by his wife, Ferry Borel Hebert of Lydia; one daughter, Linda Perkins and her husband Ron of Virginia; one son, Boyd Hebert and his wife Denise of Naples, Florida; two brothers, Dewey Hebert of Jennings and Benjamin Rawlins of Louisa; three sisters, Ella Laughlin of Elton, Genevieve Noonie Toups of New Iberia, and Rita Rawlins Cunningham of Houma. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Hebert was preceded in death by his parents, Caesar Hebert and Agnes Veazey Hebert; one brother, Harrison Hebert and five sisters, Willa Simmons, Daisy Bonin, Ruth Doity, Laverne Hebert, Eulla Mae Rawlins Bonin, and Emma Belle Rawlins.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Serving as honorary pallbearers wil be Stan Vickery, Tony Laughlin, Rev. Carol Dunn, and Rev. Wayne Hagan.
