Youngsville " Celebration of Life Services for Amber Nicole Romero Shepherd, 17, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Milton. Ambers eulogy will be said by Bill Ainsworth, one of her many uncles. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Milton from 10:00AM until service time. Entombment will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum in Scott.
A native and resident of the Youngsville area, Amber passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Lafayette. She was a loving daughter, sister, nanny and best friend. She was a very giving person. She was very devoted to her family and friends. She was very proud of her position at Subway. Amber was very outgoing and was always a free spirit.
Amber is survived by her father, Glen Shepherd and his girlfriend, Amy Curtis of Youngsville; her mother, Cindy Romero Shepherd of Youngsville; her sister, Crystal Romero of Youngsville; her brothers, Steven Bud Romero and wife, Nicole, Gregory Romero and fiance, Katie Chriceol, and Cody Romero, all of Youngsville; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth Libby Romero of Erath; her godmother, Tosha Breaux of Maurice; four nieces, one nephew, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, G.A. Redd and Juanita Shepherd.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Shepherd, Steven Bud Romero, Gregory Romero, Cody Romero, Shawn Shepherd, Guy Shepherd, Kent Shepherd and Thomas Romero.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy., (337) 837-9887, is in charge of the arrangements.
