Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Voorhies Whitey Ambrois Decou, 83, will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milton on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 1:00PM with Father Joe Breaux. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 beginning at 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A native of Youngsville and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Decou died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 4:34AM at The Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Broussard and her husband Tracey of Milton; his son, Butch Decou and his wife Donna of Youngsville; two brothers, Raywood Decou of Milton and George Decou and his wife Hilda of Onalaska, TX; 4 grandchildren, Stacy Lail, Chief Brannon Decou, Alicia Pitre and Jason Broussard; and seven great grandchildren, Caitlin Lail, Hunter Lail, Tristan Pitre, Laci Pitre, Braylynn Broussard, Alana Decou and Britney Decou. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Lea Landry Decou; three brothers, Presley Decou, Loveless Decou, and Nector Decou; and his sister, Nellis Sellers. Serving as pallbearers will be Brannon Decou, Butch Decou, Glynn Maturin, Jason Broussard, Jeff Pitre and Danny Pierson. The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kenneth L.
