View Video TributeErath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rayfay Trahan, the former Joyce Trahan, 78, will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, beginning at 8:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Readers are Brady Lopez and Lisa Trahan. Gift Bearers are Ronald Broussard and Dawn Hebert. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mrs. Trahan, a native and resident of Erath, passed away at 10:50AM on Monday, February 23, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Trahan was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Rayfay Trahan; two daughters, Linda T. Broussard and her husband Ronald, Christal Trahan and Todd Hulin of Abbeville; one sister, Gloria Waits of Springhill; two brothers, M. C. Paul Trahan and Andrew Trahan, Sr. of Erath; two grandchildren, Barrett J. Broussard of Abbeville and Kyley B. Thibodeaux and her husband Max of Erath; and one great grandchild Hali Klaire Roy of Erath. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernand Trahan and Amay Reaux Trahan; two sisters, Clara Belle Derouen and Lucy Mae T. Hebert; and one brother, Clomere Pupa Trahan. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Broussard, Todd Hulin, Barrett Broussard, Max Thibodeaux, Damian Trahan, and Christopher Waits. Special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Pallative Care of Opelousas. Sincere appreciation and thanks to Dorene, Suzanne, Jill and all who were of great help in our time of need.
