Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Edmond J. Teet Lancon the former Euline Judice, Age 90, at 11:00AM Monday April 19, 2010 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Paul Onuegbe officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday April 18, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:30PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Loreauville and longtime resident of Sorrel, Mrs. Lancon died Saturday April 17, 2010 at 3:05AM at her daughters residence in Loreauville. Born to Dumas and Anaise Dugas Judice of Loreauville, La., in Leap Year, 1920.Married to Edmond J. Lancon of Sorrel, La for 41 years. Euline better known to her family as "Gammy", lived in Loreauville for the past 28 years with her daughter, Jane L. Thibeaux, and husband, Steve. For the past 8 years, her granddaughter, Adrienne, has been her caregiver. In Sorrel, she and her husband, Edmond "Teet", were active in the sugarcane industry. She belonged to the homemakers club, quilting bee, and, was extremely active in her two daughters, Cheryl and Jane, education and extra-curricular activities, especially FHA and 4-H Cubs. Euline loved gardening, preserving her vegetables and fruits, and sewing for her two girls, and her grandchildren. Her devotion to her Catholic faith was continued throughout her life by her unselfish character ... she was so giving and loving to her family and neighbors. Moving back to her home place in Loreauville, she became active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.... sewing Baptismal bibs, volunteering in numerous capacities for St. Joseph Catholic Church, and visiting nursing homes weekly. She also belonged to the homemakers club, rosary group, and the Council on Aging Tour Group. She loved to travel throughout the USA. In her latest years, she was active in the Council on Aging Respite Program for Alzheimer. This program was a "God-Send" ... she was able to continue her life thru this terrific program with dignity and courage by a terrific group of people who showed her love, tenderness, compassion, and care. Words cannot express enough gratitude for the Iberia Council on Aging Adult Daycare, especially Ms. Betty, Ms. Sal and Connie, and Cynthia. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Acadiana---the nurses, Simone and Doris, and the remarkable and unforgettable, CNA, Caroline, who were all so gentle and caring and to Dr. Carl Ditch, who was so attentive and caring for her for years. Also the families dear friend, sitter, and nurse, Mike Hebert, who was so generous with his time, love, and kindness. She leaves behind, a daughter, Jane Lancon Thibeaux, of Loreauville and husband, Steve. Seven grandchilren: Dale Bradshaw of Atlanta, Georgia; Laurie Bradshaw of Baton Rouge, Michael Bradshaw of Lafayette, and Jennifer Bradshaw-Trahan of Lake Charles, Philip Thibeaux of Scott, La.; Matthew Thibeaux of New Iberia, and Adrienne Thibeaux-Abdallah of Loreauville And nine great-grandsons", Hunter Bradshaw, Cameron Duhon, Grant Bradshaw, Dillon Trahan, and Brandon, Triston, Andrew, Blake, and Colin Thibeaux. Three sisters-Inez Cormier of Lafayette; Evelyn Lancon of Houston, Texas; Eloise Verret of Broussard; and one brother, Andrew Judice and wife, Joyce, of Port Arthur, Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dumas & Anaise D. Judice; her husband-Edmond J. Lancon, her daughter, Cheryl Marie Lancon Bradshaw and husband, Wlm. "Billy" Bradshaw; Brothers-Alfred "Bean" Judice, Louis "Nego" Judice and sisters -Leona "Nit-Nit" Landry, Yolande Pitre and Rita Babineaux. Pallbearers will be Dale Bradshaw and Michael Bradshaw, Philip and Matthew Thibeaux, Michael St. Germain and Michael Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons, Hunter, Brandon, Blake, Dillon, Triston, Cameron, Colin, Andrew and Grant. David Funeral Home, 118 Main St. Loreauville, La.
