Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Wilfred J. Dore, Jr., 62, on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Annes Catholic Church of Youngsville with Father Mouton officiating. Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 9:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Annes Cemetery in Youngsville. A native of Youngsville and resident of Scott, Mr. Dore passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 12:56PM in Scott. He was a courier with Slemco for 10 years and enjoyed horse racing. He also served his country with the Army for the Vietnam War. He is survived by his girlfriend, Gwen Toucheck of Scott; his son, Joseph L. Dore and his wife Sheila of Carencro; his daughter, Rebecca L. Dore of Lafayette; and three grandchildren, Tyler Dore, Avery Latiolais, and Brandon Dore, all of Carencro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred J. Dore, Sr. and Estelle Bourque Dore; and his sister, Lula Mae Touchet. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Dore, Casey Toucheck, and his family and friends. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, (337)837-9887, will be handling arrangements.
