Dane P. Luent

Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Dane P. Luent, 48, on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 2:30 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind officiating. Readers for the service will be Jamie B. Derise and April R. Landry. Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville.

Visitation is on Saturday, December 19, 2009 beginning at 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 8:30 AM until services.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Lydia, Mr. Luent died on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:27 AM at his residence. He was a machinist and was employed at Halliburton for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and fixing up things.

He is survived by his wife, Christy A. Luent of Lydia; his daughter, Emy Moss and her husband Eric of Erath; his father, Paulin Luent of Lydia; his sisters, Jackie L. Landry and her husband Ronald Landry, Gayle L. Broussard and her husband Lynn Broussard and Darlene L. Eskind and her husband Jimmy Eskind all of Lydia; his brothers, Charles Luent and his wife Peggy D. Luent and Tim Luent and his wife Beverly F. Luent all of Lydia; his brother-in-law, Chris Ardeneaux and his wife Cyndi D. Ardeneaux of New Iberia; his sister-in-law, Becky A. Culter and her companion Ward Delahoussaye of Centerville; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and one great great niece.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances T. Luent; his nephews, Tommy and Ty Luent; his mother-in-law, Gwen T. Ardeneaux; his father-in-law, Nolan Ardeneaux and his brother-in-laws, Jay Ardeneaux and John Culter.

Pallbearers will be Brady Broussard, Matt Landry, Brady Derise, Trinity Luent, Bryant Landry and Neil Fuzzy Neuville.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Moss, Lynn Broussard, Charles Luent, Tim Luent, Jimmy Eskind and Ronald Landry
