Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Elmo J. Mestayer the former Eldise Borel, age 81, on Thursday January 28, 2010 at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday January 27, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Thursday January 28, 2010 from 10:00 AM until service. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.

Readers are Jaime Martinand Chantel Mestayer. Gift Bearers are Alyson Mestayer, Simone Mestayer, Logan Martin and Megan Martin. Jack David Martin and Kylie Kay Mestayer will accompany the Gift Bearers.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Mestayer died on Monday January 25, 2010 at 10:15 PM at her residence in Loreauville. Mrs. Mestayer worked for Loreauville elementary School as a cafeteria manager for nine years and she was owner and operator of Mestayer Grocery Store along with her husband for twenty one years.

She is survived by her children: Kyle Mestayer, Sr. and his wife Janice of St. Martinville, Gregory Mestayer of Mandeville, Aaron Mestayer and his wife Roxanne of Parks, Grandchildren: Jaime Martin and her husband Terry of New Iberia, Kyle Mestayer, Jr. and his wife Chantel of Loreauville, Bryson Mestayer of Parks, Alyson Mestayer of Parks, Great Grandchildren: Kylie Kay Mestayer of Loreauville, Jack David Martin of New Iberia, Step Great Grandchildren: Logan Martin of New Iberia, Meagan Martin of New Iberia.

Mrs. Mestayer was preceded in death by her husband: Elmo J. Mestayer, Daughter: Karen Mestayer, Parents: Willis J. Borel and Cordelia Thibodeaux Borel.

Pallbearers will be: Gregory Mestayer, Kyle Mestayer, Sr., Aaron Mestayer, Kyle Mestayer, Jr., Bryson Mestayer, Terry Martin.

The Family would like to thank her most recent caregivers; Betty Joseph, Brandy Angers and Judy Reed. Including also those caregivers that helped over the last year anda Half. Their care and thoughtfulness was ablessing and we are forever thankful. A special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their love and support.
