BARBARA MONCLA LANCON

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Ovide Lancon, Jr., the former Barbara Moncla, Age 87, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating at 10:00AM Saturday, March 7, 2009.Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume from 8AM until the time of services Saturday. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Lancon was a life long resident of Iberia Parish. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.

Survivors include her husband Ovide Lancon Jr, three daughters; Mona Moss and husband Billy, Connie Carter and husband Don, and Linda DeSoto and husband Sonny, one son: Lynn Lancon and wife Katie, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Pearl Hoag Moncla and Maurice M Moncla, her daughter; Dianna Gaye OBrien ;two sisters, Mildred Berard and Marjorie Hebert, four brothers, Leon (Brother) Moncla, Maurice (Sonny) Moncla, Elton (Teddy) Moncla, and Milan Moncla.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Bourque, Michael Bourque, Steven Lancon, Barry Blanchard, Eric Anderson and Stacy Migues.
