Ouida Bourque Morvant

A native of Abbeville she was born on March 18, 1916 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her sons home in Stephenville, Texas. She was known for her love to work in the yard with flowers and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Clifton J. Morvant and wife Virginia of Stephenville, Texas; two daughters, Verna LeBlanc and husband Allen of Abbeville and Helen Frederick of Erath; one sister Enola B. Savoy of Erath; her grandchildren, a very close and dear grandson, Michael Simon and wife Lynette, Wilbe J. Simon, Jane S. Naquin and husband Steve, Randall P. Simon and wife Donna, David W. Simon, Troy A. Simon and wife Donna, Denise Segars and husband Larry, Mark Morvant and wife Candice, Jaime Shumaker and husband Michael, Michelle Moravec and husband Ernest. Nicole Siler and husband Mark, Bryan Frederick and wife Susan, and Lisa Trahan and husband Damien. Her great grandchildren, Shawn Simon and wife Stacey, Ryan Simon and wife Bambi, Keith Simon, Tiffany Naquin, Constance N. Guillot and husband Saul, Joshua Naquin, Gillian Naquin, Brandie Simon, Blake Simon, McKenzie Simon, Megan Segars, Jett Maravec, Oliver Moravec, Dillon Shumaker, Dyson Shumaker, Keisha Suire, Mattalyn Suire, and Chelsea Frederick; her great great grandchildren Katelyn Simon, Jennifer Simon, Breannah Naquin, and Alex Guillot. She is also survived by her step great great grandchildren Amber Bruno, Emily Bruno, Billy Theriot and Shane Theriot.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Wilton Morvant; her father, Arthe Bourque and mother Edith Lege Bourque; one grandson Stephen J. Simon; two sisters, Annie Mae Bourque and Lorice Broussard and one brother Dudley Bourque.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
